A good perspective from the staff of OP East Wind.

I am so sorry I missed EW. This always looked like something that we would have loved to do.

I would like to see longer events. I don't know if I'm game to sleep on the ground anymore. But I can still do a tent, wood stove and a cot.

Would be hard to come up with the required Soviet gear though.

Depends on the gear Wade. The Rushin' Russians -- founded by Josh and are one of the big teams that come out to MSW events -- get pretty religious about their kit and know where to get it online.

Understood.

OP East Wind was more of a reenactment. So the Soviets drove real Soviet 80's era trucks and jeeps, slept in Soviet tents and used Soviet radios as comms, etc, etc. If they absolutely could not find Soviet gear they went with east bloc replacements mainly east Germany.

These guys are/were hardcore stitch Nazis.

Roger is there any way to limit the size of the image attachment?

Some more intel.

The staff of East Wind is now Central War Gaming (CWG).

Third photo down is Mercy (99% sure) of Recondo fame. If she is participating in their events, they are doing it right.
